About Boards and Commissions
Board of Adjustment - The Board of Adjustment is a seven member board who discusses issues relating to properties and property owners, building permits, boundaries, variances, parking/loading, commercial districting, certificates of compliance and more. They are a voting body.They meet the third Wednesday of the month, at 6:00 pm, in the lower level of City Hall.
Flood Plain Advisory Board - The Flood Plain Advisory Board is a seven member board who discusses issues relating to flood plain management. They are advisory in nature, and make their recommendations to the City Council.
They meet the second Monday of the month on an as-needed basis, at 5:30 pm, in the lower level of City Hall.
Park & Recreation Commission - The Park & Recreation Commission is a seven member commission who discusses issues related to the City of Dyersville's parks, playgrounds and community recreation facilities.
They meet the fourth Monday of the month on an as-needed basis, at 6:00 pm, in the lower level of City Hall.
Planning & Zoning Commission - The Planning & Zoning Commission is a nine member commission who discusses issues related to zoning regulations, plats for subdivisions, street and park improvements, public works of art, and more.
They meet the second Monday of the month on an as-needed basis, at 6:30 pm, in the lower level of City Hall.
Library Board of Trustees - The Library is under the control and direction of the Board of Library Trustees. The Board consists of nine (9) members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. At least one and no more than two members may be nonresidents. As the terms of office of the Board members expire, the Mayor, with the approval of the Council, shall appoint successors, each of whom shall hold office until his or her successor is appointed and qualifies.
They meet the second Wednesday of each month at 6:45 pm in the Hoffman Community Room.
