SNOW EMERGENCY. The Mayor or Police Chief may declare a snow emergency during heavy snowfalls. This emergency will be declared by radio and local access cable. During this emergency, vehicles left unattended on any public street or alley are subject to fines and towing. Enforcement shall begin no sooner than two hours after a declaration of a snow emergency.
SNOW ROUTES. The Council may designate certain streets in the City as snow routes. There shall be no parking of any vehicle upon said snow routes from November 1 to April 15 between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. when a forecast of two or more inches of snow has been made or when it becomes necessary for the City to plow or remove snow from its public places due to the accumulation of 2 or more inches, unless the snow has been cleared from curb to curb for the entire length of the block after cessation of the snow storm. We strongly urge residents to park off street when at all possible during snowfalls. This improves the efficiency of the cleanup thus reducing time and overall costs of snow removal.
YOUR COOPERATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
